Courtney Cochran - Owner/Head Trainer

Courtney Cochran

Taught by Betsy Woods—the founder of Ridgewood Farm—from the age of 8, and having much success as a junior rider, Courtney went on to gain a degree in Architecture from the University of Colorado at Boulder. After graduation, Courtney formed a construction and landscape design company which allowed her to ride at a high level with top trainer, John Bragg. Courtney won numerous national, regional, and zone year-end awards, as well as top honors in all medal finals for three years in a row. She won the CPHA Foundation Finals (and year-end high point), LAHJA Sr. Finals and USEF Adult Equitation Regionals two years in a row. Courtney managed Ridgewood Farm from 2006-2009 before becoming Betsy's assistant, leading into eventual ownership.

Amanda Zall - Assistant Trainer

Amanda Zall

Born and raised in Sweden, Amanda is a dedicated and accomplished equestrian professional with over a decade of experience spanning both Sweden and the United States. After moving to the U.S. seven years ago, Amanda has been deeply involved in the Hunter/Jumper/Equitation scene, helping to bring along numerous successful junior riders and top horses.
Growing up in a horse family, Amanda was introduced to the equestrian world before even taking her first steps, starting formal lessons at just three years old. Her grandmother's internationally recognized breeding program and her mother's lifelong involvement with jumpers instilled a deep-rooted passion for the sport.
In Sweden, Amanda attended an elite athlete program for three years, where only four jumper riders were selected annually. There, they trained with Olympians and mastered the multifaceted demands of top-level equestrianism. With experience in 1.40m jumpers, hunters, 3-day eventing, and breaking and developing young horses, Amanda is committed to excellence in every aspect of horse and rider training.
Passionate, hardworking, and deeply knowledgeable, Amanda brings a lifetime of dedication to their role at Ridgewood Farm, fostering the next generation of equestrian talent.
